I think Livi is heading for a growth spurt, she has been complaining of leg pains which I assume are growing pains. Recently I have had to loosen up her pants and skirts with the adjustable waists. She has her well child check up this Saturday. We are excited to show her Ped how big she is now.

Livi is dressing as Hannah Montana for Halloween, but Livi is hard on costumes and clothes in general and I feared that the cheap HM costume would not last a day of play at school. So Livi went was a ballerina and wore her Tutu and Tiara

she has been chewing on her hair ( driving me nuts) so the babushka is helpful in keeping her hair off of her face.

she is too tall for her footy jams, but it is getting cold here, so we improvised and cut off the feet. Don't mind the Vaseline on her cheeks, we put it on after bath to cure chapped skin

Livi told me that she looks like a " working girl" in this outfit.I would totally wear that outfit.. the pin stripe sharp pants and cashmere like rhinestone button cardi from the gap.

Fly

we got a donation of clothes out of the blue.... trust me this child did not need any more clothes. We are sharing the clothes with family. But many of them are on the less classic side and more Hip Hop " little adult" like. Itty bitty denim skirts, jean jackets with hoodies, camo, animal prints, some fun stuff and totally out of the norm of what I would purchase. Livi loves it

this shirt was too little on her... she does not like letting go of clothes, even when she outgrown them. I will have to sneak this one away

Her Choice

Livi loves short sleeves, despises long sleeves. I think she only has three short sleeved tops in her fall wardrobe. Whenever she gets to pick out her outfit, it will always include something with short sleeves.

Tooth Fairy

Livi lost her first tooth last week. Something about that toothless grin just makes her look so grown up.Liv is still on her I- hate- long- sleeves binge. She has been especially argumentative about the fall clothing that I choose for her. She even picked this outfit at the store ( jumping beans). Tough cookies... she is wearing it.

Gymnastics

Sleepy Girl

Blogher offered me free tix to a 7 pm showing of a new disney movie Secretariat. I was on the fence all day about going or not. I was not sure if we would be home too late on a school night. So much was going to depend on Liv's mood. She took an extended nap and I surprised her with dinner and a Movie...at night like a big girl. We were home after 9 and she was a little ramped up, but was asleep by 9.45. We had a really nice time and I am glad that I took her. The movie was great and she was a super, duper good listener. I hope she remembers those unexpected surprises when she gets older.

Just wanted to say thanks for the few people who come visit this blog, this is not the kind a thing that one does for Traffic. I just do it for fun. I am thinking of adding a worst decision day, where I show pics of myself from back in the day and laugh at my fashion/hair/makeup choices. I am not sure if I will do that on this blog or my home blog. Now back to the Outfit, we both like this one. So cute.

It's been hot & steamy here, so Livi is getting to wear all the cute summer clothes I purchased from Lisa. This little linen top & capri pant set is so cute. I thought I was done with shopping, but I need to get her more shoes. Turns out the ones I bought her were too big. They seemingly fit fine at the store, but are now falling off her feet. Note to self, make sure Livi walks in the shoes when trying them on. So she is wearing her beat up summer sneaks on gym days.

On Thursday John & I get to meet the teacher. I am looking forward to that. Fingers crossed that our teen sitter can watch Livi~

Knock on wood.. Livi has not put up to much of a fight to wear her new girly clothes. I usually pull out two outfits and let her choose one. She is saying how other kids wear tank tops/shorts and flip flops. I tell Livi that her play clothes- tank tops, shorts and flip flops are not appropriate for school.

Livi was so cute today, she gave the teacher a big shiny apple and said " ummm.. please make sure you wash it, cause I dropped it like two times"... she was so nervous she dropped that apple over & over while waiting in the hall. She did really well. She sat with an aide and did some literacy testing while I met with the teacher. You can read more about that on my other blog.

Fave Flats

I love heels... but I walk up & down stairs all day long. My office is on the 2nd floor and everything else is on the lower level. Anytime I need to use the fax or print something out, I go up and down. I At court I am up & down stairs all the time, so my feet get mighty tired at the end of the day. I work at the old court house just a few times a month, their ancient elevator got stuck and people were trapped for five hours and they needed to pump in oxygen. Ever since then.. I take the stairs and always get a good workout on those days. My new pointy toe flats in black and awesome ballet flats.... I own both, my Jessica Simpson pair are on their last leg.. that is how much I wear those. When I do need to wear heels I depend on these kitten heels. I always get compliments on my JS flats and my kitten heels.

Today I told Livi she could wear whatever she wanted. She excitedly asked " even if it doesn't match?". I reminded her that it was her choice. Typically I give her a final OK...because you just never know what she will pick. Today she did Great and even fixed her own hair. On Tuesday you will see my " meet the teacher" choice.

more than I can chew

So yeah... I am not sure I can pull off a daily picture blog, you know with the balancing work and motherhood and all. So I was thinking at least twice a week should be doable. Like my fav outfit of the week and then Liv's fav. I have promised Livi that we would take turns . To avoid any morning fights I always lay clothes out the night before.


I will also try to post other stuff fun stuff here and leave the heavy stuff for my other blog. Speaking of fun stuff... how cute would this outfit be for back to school, or this whole collection.
Livi needs no more clothes, but I do. I need a fall wardrobe for work.
